It has been fairly a while since my final contribution to Expensive Susan, so I believed I might share a few of my pictures from an infrared pictures workshop I not too long ago attended that occurred in Joshua Tree Nationwide Park (JTNP), which is situated North East of Palm Springs, California, close to the cities of Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms.

For these of you that aren’t aware of JTNP, this can be as a result of it doesn’t have a singular attraction that higher recognized parks have, equivalent to El Capitan in Yosemite Nationwide Park or the Grand Canyon in Arizona, which could make JTNP seem to be an “un-destination” within the grand listing of US Nationwide Parks. Although, JTNP makes up for this with loads of small jewels that may be a simple stroll to seek out.

Whereas JTNP will not be one of many best-known Parks in america, its shut proximity to Palm Springs, Los Angeles, and San Diego, make it a well-liked location for mountain climbing, tenting, and mountaineering; significantly on weekends.

For these of you that could be questioning, the entire pictures right here had been captured utilizing a full spectrum digicam and a 720nm infrared (IR) filter. The pictures had been processed as IR native coloration pictures, after which transformed to B&W. I’ve included some pictures in each native coloration and B&W. Additionally, all of those topics had been situated close to, picnic areas, camp grounds, and mountain climbing trails.
